The Bealach Na Ba Cycle Sportive is a road cycling event held on 16 May 2026 in Shieldaig, in Wester Ross on the north-west coast of the Scottish Highlands. Organised by the Shieldaig Community Association, it covers roughly 145 km (about 90 miles) on a single-loop course out to Applecross over the famed Bealach na Bà mountain pass, a 9 km climb topping out at 626 m and widely regarded as one of the toughest road climbs in the United Kingdom. The route then follows the undulating Applecross peninsula with views to Raasay, Rona, Skye and the Torridon hills before returning to Shieldaig. Up to 500 riders take part, with proceeds supporting the local community and Prostate Cancer UK as the official charity partner.
