DESCRIPTION:The Thames Trail Ultra is a 48 mile point to point ultra marathon running from Iffley\, Oxfordshire to Henley on Thames. A tough run along England’s largest river with ever changing scenery\, beautiful houses and traditional rowing clubs. This is a great event with everything from tarmac paths to muddy trails. We use the Thames Path and Ridgeway National Trails – don’t forget the words “National Trail” and not just read “Thames Path”! This is an Ultra distance course that will always keep you interested and challenged. A great end the Ultra Running season. The start is approximately 3 miles south of Oxford. From the Hotel there is a short run down to Iffley lock and after crossing the river the route takes the towpath through the picturesque
