DESCRIPTION:The Granfondo San Gottardo is a road cycling sportive held on 23 August 2026 in Ambrì\, in the Swiss canton of Ticino\, with a mass start at 08:00. The event offers three signposted routes that climb the historic cobbled Tremola road over the Gotthard Pass: a short loop of around 42 km (930 m of climbing)\, a medium route of about 57 km (1\,350 m)\, and the long route of roughly 110 km that adds the Furka and Nufenen passes for around 2\,900 m of total elevation gain. The course includes feed stations on each pass and timing for participants\, set against the high alpine scenery of the central Swiss Alps.
