DESCRIPTION:L'Hannibal Rider is an ultra-distance\, self-supported gravel adventure organised by the Amicale Cyclotouriste Pavillaise. Riders cover roughly 2\,500 km and 39\,200 m of elevation from Pavilly\, in Normandy\, to the Italian Alps\, on a route loosely inspired by Hannibal's crossing of the Alps. Departure is from Pavilly with waves of 20 riders every 15 minutes\; participants must finish within 350 hours and ride in complete autonomy with GPS tracking and mandatory checkpoints.
