SUMMARY:Montée à Pierre-sur-Haute
DESCRIPTION:The Montée à Pierre-sur-Haute is a road-cycling climb event up to the highest summit of the Monts du Forez\, at 1\,634 metres on the border of the Loire and Puy-de-Dôme departments. From the village of Sauvain\, riders tackle the road through the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park toward the Col du Béal and the final ramp to the Pierre-sur-Haute plateau\, one of the hardest paved climbs in the Massif Central. The route rewards finishers with sweeping views over the Lyonnais\, Pilat and Auvergne volcanoes.
