SUMMARY:Taunus Bikepacking
DESCRIPTION:Taunus Bikepacking is a self-supported\, non-competitive bikepacking adventure through the Taunus mountains of central Germany\, with the ninth edition starting on 14 June 2026. The fixed route is roughly 1\,000 km with about 20\,000 m of elevation gain\, running mainly on quiet farm and forest tracks with a few trails\, and is rideable on gravel or mountain bikes. There are no prizes or rankings: each rider chooses their own pace\, with shelter huts\, hotels\, campsites\, fountains and resupply points scattered along the route. The event has grown out of a friends' long-distance training loop first ridden in 2018 and is organised independently from the Taunus Bikepacking community.
