Grimpee de Alpe d'Huez

Individual time-trial up the iconic 21 hairpins of Alpe d'Huez, starting from Le Bourg-d'Oisans in Isère and finishing at the ski resort. The climb covers roughly 14 km at an average gradient close to 8%, and the event is run as part of the Marmotte Granfondo Alpes festival weekend in late June. Riders set off individually against the clock on closed or marshalled sections of the historic Tour de France ascent.
