Maraton Castel del Monte

The Maraton Castel del Monte is an Italian cross-country mountain bike marathon staged on the high plateaus around the medieval village of Castel del Monte, in the L'Aquila province of Abruzzo. The course climbs and descends across the Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga massif on a mix of dirt roads, mule tracks and forest singletrack, with both a long marathon route and a shorter granfondo option. It is part of the Abruzzo MTB Cup circuit.
