L’Hannibal Rider

L'Hannibal Rider is an ultra-distance, self-supported gravel adventure organised by the Amicale Cyclotouriste Pavillaise. Riders cover roughly 2,500 km and 39,200 m of elevation from Pavilly, in Normandy, to the Italian Alps, on a route loosely inspired by Hannibal's crossing of the Alps. Departure is from Pavilly with waves of 20 riders every 15 minutes; participants must finish within 350 hours and ride in complete autonomy with GPS tracking and mandatory checkpoints.
