Taunus Bikepacking is a self-supported, non-competitive bikepacking adventure through the Taunus mountains of central Germany, with the ninth edition starting on 14 June 2026. The fixed route is roughly 1,000 km with about 20,000 m of elevation gain, running mainly on quiet farm and forest tracks with a few trails, and is rideable on gravel or mountain bikes. There are no prizes or rankings: each rider chooses their own pace, with shelter huts, hotels, campsites, fountains and resupply points scattered along the route. The event has grown out of a friends' long-distance training loop first ridden in 2018 and is organised independently from the Taunus Bikepacking community.
