The Riegel formula (1981) is the most cited race-time predictor in distance-running literature. Given one race result, it estimates your time at any other distance — assuming similar aerobic fitness and pacing discipline.
It's a ceiling estimate. Fueling, terrain, weather, and race-specific endurance will move the real number. Use this to set a realistic A-goal, not a guarantee.
SportPlan rebuilds your plan every day from your real Garmin/Strava data, race calendar, and field-test results.
